Crude CNSL from cashew shells

Crude cashew nut shell liquid is an industrial phenolic feedstock obtained from cashew shells. Extraction conditions and subsequent heat treatment influence its composition. The term crude CNSL does not by itself establish anacardic acid content or a natural-extraction grade; those requirements need an agreed analytical test.

Applications

• Feedstock for refined CNSL and cardanol production.
• Resin, coating, adhesive and friction-material applications after grade evaluation.
• Selected industrial fuel applications after testing and equipment approval.

Indicative DPB TDS specification

• Acid value: ≤ 105 mg KOH/g; ASTM D664.
• Flash point: ≥ 150°C; ASTM D93.
• Moisture and impurities: ≤ 8% by mass; DSTU ISO 662.
• Sulfur: ≤ 600 mg/kg; ISO 8754.
• Ash: ≤ 2.0% by mass; EN ISO 6245.

Packing and supply

Packing may include ISO tanks, IBCs, flexitanks or bulk shipment, depending on the product grade, viscosity, route and carrier acceptance. Loading quantity, export gateway and delivery schedule are confirmed in the quotation or contract. Follow the current SDS for storage, handling and transport.
