Refined Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (Refined CNSL)

What is refined CNSL?

Refining CNSL is intended to reduce moisture, insoluble impurities and other unwanted components and to improve consistency for industrial use. The resulting grade depends on the treatment applied. Refined or thermally treated CNSL should be assessed on its actual composition and COA.

Applications

• Phenolic and epoxy resin modification.
• Brake-pad and clutch-plate friction materials.
• Rubber processing, coatings, varnishes, adhesives and binders.
• Industrial fuel blending where the material meets the approved equipment and end-use requirements.

Indicative DPB TDS specification

• Acid value: ≤ 6 mg KOH/g; ASTM D664.
• Flash point: ≥ 120°C; ASTM D93.
• Moisture and impurities: ≤ 2.0% by mass; DSTU ISO 662.
• Sulfur: ≤ 300 mg/kg; ISO 8754.
• Ash: ≤ 1.0% by mass; EN ISO 6245.

Packing and delivery

Packing may include ISO tanks, IBCs, flexitanks or bulk shipment, depending on the product grade, viscosity, route and carrier acceptance. Loading quantity, export gateway and delivery schedule are confirmed in the quotation or contract. Follow the current SDS for storage, handling and transport.
